Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund Helps Raise Voice Against Racial Disparity and Human Rights Violations in the United States

The human rights abuses in the recent years have increased drastically, and many reports are being registered, not only in the poor and under-developed nations but also in the first world countries.

One of the biggest problems that the world is facing is the on-going war in the countries in the Middle-East. It has cost millions of lives so far, and the count keeps on rising. Moreover, people from across the globe are affected by its aftermath as it impacts the world economy and gives rise to the increasing number of terrorist activities globally.

Some terrorist activities reported by the media are merely a fraction of what is going on in the world, and it is why the government across the world needs to unite to help the people who are affected by the ongoing war and terrorism in the Middle East.

Millions of people have lost their lives, and a million others have lost their homes, and these people are in dire need of basic supplies and essentials to live.

Moreover, these people would need comprehensive rehabilitation to restart their lives in a new country, and it is why many countries need to welcome the refugees in their country.

While there are a few countries that have accepted a certain number of refugees, many countries have refused to allow the entry of refugees. There are many organisations and volunteer groups that are working hard and are determined to reach out to as many people as possible in these affected regions and provide them with the means to survive.

However, it is not only the war-torn countries and under-developed nations that are reporting human rights abuses but also the highly developed countries like the United States.

In the recent years, the crimes against the migrants and minorities have increased drastically, and even though the authorities are trying hard to contain the situation, many different events are being reported from across the country.

Some of the major organisations that are working in the United States to fight against human rights violations and migrants’ rights violations are Lambda Legal, Border Angels, Anti-Defamation League, EarthJustice, American Civil Liberties Union, and more. Learn more about Michael Lacey: and

One of the funds that are set up by Jim and Lacey has been in the news lately for all the right reasons. The fund is named Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund that is formed to support the organisations and public figures that raise voice against the human rights violations and champion the cause of civil rights, human rights, migrant rights, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and so on.

Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey are the owners of Phoenix New Times and Village Voice Media. They were arrested by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio wrongfully without valid reasons to stop, and the state lost to them in the court of justice, awarding petitioners $3.75 million in compensation for the damages and harassment suffered.

They were wrongfully arrested on immoral grounds in the middle of the night, which was insulting to their reputation and public image as well. The compensation amount they received is now set up by them as the Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund.
